About the service

Our Cassette AC Gas Filling Service is for ceiling cassette ACs that run but do not cool properly because of low refrigerant.

This service covers 1 ton, 1.5 ton and 2 ton cassette ACs of any brand and supports gas types R22, R32 and R410A. We do proper leak checking, vacuum and controlled refrigerant charging as per model rating, not random gas top up. This helps restore cooling and protect the compressor.

Our process

1. Cooling and symptom check
The technician runs the cassette AC in cooling mode and checks.

• Supply air temperature and basic room cooling

• Compressor start up and running pattern

• Indoor and outdoor fan operation

• Visible coil and pipe condition where accessible

This helps confirm whether low gas is likely or if there is some other primary issue.

2. Visual leak and system inspection
With the power off, the technician inspects.

• Exposed copper pipes, flare joints and service valves

• Indoor coil area for oil stains or corrosion

• Outdoor coil and joints for leak signs

• Any earlier repair joints or tampered sections

If there is heavy rust, physical damage or obvious leakage, this is explained before moving ahead.

3. Pressure test when required and possible
If the design allows gauge connection and a leak is suspected, a pressure test may be done to check for hidden leaks.

• Small joint leaks can often be repaired

• Major coil leaks or badly damaged piping are quoted separately

4. Deep vacuuming of the system
After leak points are addressed, the system is connected to a vacuum pump.

• Air and moisture are removed to the required vacuum level

• This step is essential for inverter cassette ACs and high efficiency models

Skipping vacuuming is a shortcut that can cause poor cooling and long term compressor damage, so we avoid that.

5. Accurate refrigerant charging

Gas is charged based on.

• AC capacity. 1 ton, 1.5 ton or 2 ton

• Gas type mentioned on the rating plate. R22 or R32 or R410A

• Manufacturer guidelines by weight or pressure

We do not mix refrigerants and we do not change gas type unless the system is properly converted for that refrigerant.

• Older systems. often R22

• Newer inverter systems. usually R32 or R410A

6. Final cooling and safety check

After gas charging, the cassette AC is tested again in cooling mode. The technician checks.

• Outlet air temperature and cooling performance

• Compressor sound and basic current draw where possible

• Coil behaviour, making sure there is no icing

• Indoor and outdoor noise and vibration

• Basic check for any fresh leak signs

If non gas issues remain. for example weak compressor, PCB fault, fan issues, they are explained clearly.

Q1. Will Cassette AC gas filling make cooling like new
If the main problem is low gas and the compressor, fans and coils are healthy, cooling can come close to original.
If there are issues like weak compressor, very dirty coils, airflow problems or PCB faults, improvement will be limited until those are fixed.

Q2. Is leak repair included in gas filling charges
Minor tightening and small correction at accessible joints may be included.
Any major brazing, coil repair or pipe replacement is treated as extra work and discussed before starting.

Q3. Which gas will you use in my cassette AC
We always follow the gas type on the AC name plate.

• Some older units. R22

• Many newer models. R32 or R410A

We do not mix or randomly change gas types.

Q4. Do all cassette ACs support gas refilling
Most do, but if the design is very old, heavily rusted or unsafe to open, the technician may advise that gas filling is not practical or not reliable.

Q5. How long does Cassette AC gas filling take
Usually 60 to 120 minutes, depending on access, leak checks and model design.

Q6. How long will the gas last after refilling
If there is no active leak, refrigerant can last for years.
If pipes or coils are already weak or corroded, gas may leak again. In such cases, repeated filling is not recommended and coil replacement or new unit is a better option.
