About the service

Our Split AC gas filling service is for ACs that are running but not cooling properly because of low refrigerant. It covers 1 ton, 1.5 ton and 2 ton Split ACs, inverter and non inverter, for gas types R22, R32 and R410A.

We do proper leak check, deep vacuuming and accurate refrigerant charging as per the AC rating. No blind topping. This protects the compressor and restores cooling as close as possible to factory performance.

• Split AC runs but air is not cold enough

• Ice on indoor coil or copper line

• AC cools for some time then becomes normal air

Our process

1. Cooling and symptom check
The technician checks your Split AC in cooling mode. They measure airflow, basic temperature drop, compressor running and indoor coil condition. This confirms if low gas is likely or if there is some other issue.

2. Leak and coil inspection
With power off, the technician checks flare joints, service valves, indoor coil, outdoor coil and visible copper lines for oil marks, corrosion or damage. If a coil is badly rusted or there is a visible big leak, you are informed before proceeding.

3. Pressure test where required
If a leak is suspected but not visible, a pressure test may be done to find hidden leakage points. Minor joint leaks can be repaired or tightened. Major coil or pipe damage is quoted separately.

4. Deep vacuuming of the system
A vacuum pump is connected to the Split AC circuit. Air and moisture are removed until proper vacuum level is reached. Skipping vacuum is a shortcut that leads to poor cooling and early compressor failure, so we avoid that.

5. Refrigerant charging as per AC rating
Refrigerant is charged according to.

• AC capacity. 1 ton, 1.5 ton or 2 ton

• Gas type specified on name plate. R22, R32 or R410A

• Manufacturer recommended pressure or weight

We never mix gases and we never change gas type unless the system has been modified and designed for it.

6. Final cooling and safety check
After charging, the AC is tested in cooling mode. The technician checks coil behaviour, outlet temperature, compressor ampere reading, noise and overall room cooling. If there is any non gas issue like weak compressor, fan problem or PCB fault, you are told clearly.

Frequently asked questions

Q1. Will gas filling make my Split AC cool like new
If the only issue is low gas and there is no major coil or compressor problem, gas filling can restore cooling close to original. If the compressor is weak or coil is badly rusted, results will be limited and the technician will tell you.

Q2. Is leak repair included in gas filling charges
Basic tightening or small joint correction may be included. Major brazing, coil repair or pipe replacement is always charged separately and discussed before work.

Q3. Which gas will you use in my AC
We only use the gas type mentioned on the AC name plate.

• Older models. usually R22

• Newer non inverter and inverter models. R32 or R410A

We do not mix gases and we do not convert from one gas to another without proper system changes.

Q4. How long does Split AC gas filling take
Normally 45 to 90 minutes per unit, depending on leak checks, access and tonnage.

Q5. How long will the gas last after filling
If there is no active leak, gas can last for years. If the coil or pipes are already weak or rusted, gas may escape again. In such cases, repair or replacement is a better long term solution than repeated refilling.
